Steve Parker is a native of Spartanburg County. He earned his B.A in Political Science from Newberry College, MAT from Converse College and a Specialist in Education Degree from the University of South Carolina. Steve was an educator for 20 years and currently owns Steve Parker Painting and Sealcoating.

Steve is a charter member of the Boiling Springs Kiwanis Club, the founder of the Boiling Springs Helping Hands Club and co-founder of the SOLVE committee to stop School District Consolidation. Steve and his wife Rita are active members at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
